UNS N10276 is a tungsten-containing nickel-chromium-molybdenum-alloy with very low silicon and carbon content. The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidizing and reducing states. Excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. The alloy is suitable for use in various chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. Hastelloy C-276 is one of only a few materials that are resistant to moist chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions, and the alloy has significant resistance to high concentrations of chloride solutions (e.g. ferric chloride and copper chloride).

Widely used in chemical and petrochemical applications, such as in components and catalytic systems that come into contact with organic substances containing chlorides. The material is particularly suitable for use in high temperature, inorganic and organic acids (e.g. formic and acetic acid) mixed with impurities, and in corrosive environments in seawater.
